Social Support Volunteers
CHIRP Community Health appreciates how feeling socially connected is fundamental to our sense of well-being. Through our Social Support Mentoring Program we aim to connect adults with other adult volunteers in the local community.
As a Social Support Volunteer you would be a friendly companion to another person in the community who may be socially isolated or experiencing life challenges, helping them feel connected to and supported by their community.
You may help the person make positive changes in their lives or simply be there for a coffee and a chat.
If you are interested in becoming a Social Support mentor, please call us on (03) 5479 1000 and ask to speak to the Social Support mentoring Program Coordinator.
Please note that all of our volunteers must undergo comprehensive screening checks including a police check and a Victorian Working with Children Check prior to commencing volunteering with us.
