New traineeships in Alcohol & Other Drugs at Dhelkaya Health

Dhelkaya Health is taking part in a 12-month Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) training program that is set to kick off in early 2023.

The training program is a State Government initiative to help upskill AOD trainees undertaking a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs. Dhelkaya Health will support trainees as they learn practical clinical skills in supporting people with alcohol and other drug-related issues.

The Victorian Government is providing the funding for two trainees to take part. The project aims to increase the number of skilled professionals working locally in this important area of work.

The training program will offer supervised experience in the sector, along with certificated training. Students who have already commenced study in this area are eligible, as are those who are keen to study in AOD.

These traineeships are a great opportunity to get practical, clinical and supervised opportunities to develop skills for work in the AOD sector in regional Victoria.

The traineeship positions will be advertised shortly on the Dhelkaya Health website and via the SEEK.com website.

If you or someone you know is interested and would like to learn more, look out for the upcoming traineeship application on our Current Vacancies page or email Julie Sutcliffe at jsutcliffe@castlemainehealth.org.au.
