Media release: 7 days of lockdown testing

More than 400 COVID-19 tests have been completed at CHIRP Community Health over the recent seven-day lockdown.

Deb Barrow, Manager of Allied Health and Wellbeing at CHIRP, congratulates the local community and the testing team involved.

“Thank you to every person in our community who patiently presented to our drive-through COVID-19 testing service during this period of high demand. Everyone who is tested for COVID-19 helps the Health Department understand how the virus is spreading.”, Deb said.

“This is also an amazing achievement for our COVID-19 testing staff who’ve been working almost every day with enthusiasm and dedication. The community have responded in kind, with much positive feedback.”

“Despite COVID-19 restrictions easing in regional Victoria, it is important than anybody with even mild symptoms or known exposure to a tier 1 or 2 exposure site comes to get tested. Symptoms may include fever, chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss or change in sense of smell and taste.”
