Enjoy a walking tour of Castlemaine Botanical Gardens

8th February 2022

A free guided tour of the historic Castlemaine Botanical Gardens will be held on February 24 and everyone is invited to come along.

Botanical Gardens Horticulturalist Sandra Hodge will lead the tour and discuss significant plantings, the impressive native and exotic tree collection, Lake Johanna, and garden history.

The gentle hour-long stroll is organised by Castlemaine Health as part of their regular monthly walks. It is supported by Mount Alexander Shire Council.

“We’d love to see our regular participants and warmly welcome any new guests. It’s very inclusive and a nice reason to head outdoors and enjoy some fresh air,” said Liza Shaw, Health Promotion Officer at Castlemaine Health.

The walk is suitable for all ages and abilities.
